Many of our employees have distinguished themselves in the industry. In addition to earning degrees in the field, they have completed the Maryland Nursery & Landscape Association’s qualifications to become a Certified Professional Horticulturist. They are a fantastic resource for plant identification and other questions, and are available to assist our customers.
When you are in the nursery or the store, look for our employees in gray t-shirts and sweatshirts with the Sun Nurseries logo. They can provide expert advice regarding plant selection. Nursery Associates can help you locate plants and load your car.
Our designers are knowledgeable, talented, and educated professionals. The department is staffed by full-time, year-round designers. Our CAD landscape plans are customized, precise, creative, and frequently receive glowing reviews from our customers. Our foremen, crews, and production managers work year-round to install new landscapes in neighborhoods throughout the area. These dedicated and experienced professionals do high-quality work at each landscaping job.
We’re seeking full- and part-time associates to support our retail sales, deliver outstanding customer service, and contribute to our nursery production efforts. While a background in horticulture is a plus, it is not required.

We are looking for experienced Senior Nursery Associates to join our team, supporting retail sales, customer service, and nursery production. Candidates must have hands-on nursery experience and a strong knowledge of plant material. While a background in horticulture or a related field is a plus, it is not required. In addition to their core responsibilities, Senior Nursery Associates will mentor and guide junior team members.
