Our plants are acclimated to this area, so transplant shock is always minimal when you plant them at your house.
The ground condition, not air temperature, is the ultimate factor in planting. When the ground is frozen, we cannot dig. Winter is the only time we don’t plant every day. However, if we get a period of above freezing temperatures and the ground is thawed, we can plant even in winter. In the summer, you might not feel like working out in the heat, but the plants won’t mind a bit. They just need you to water them as they settle their roots into the warm soil.
So plant when you’re ready, it’s not too late!
